YEAH!
So I have to say I was pretty excited to click on my blog and see that my "fetus" has made it's way down to the RED SECTION! After seeing that ticker for so long just hanging out in the middle it did give me a little thrill to see that I was in the "end zone" so to speak. Ah, the little things that can brighten your day ;)

Lack of posting...
...due to the fact that we are sick once again. Olivia got it on Monday and has not been a happy camper :( I am hoping to avoid it, but we will have to see. I will get back on the blogging bandwagon once we are back to normal!

Thinking...
It's funny how everything you experience with your first pregnancy is so "over the top" amazing, at least that was the way it was with me. Every kick was God's miracle growing inside me, every Dr's appointment so wondrous and exciting to hear the heart beat, an occasion to dress up for and go to lunch after. Even the barfing~I know, NOT amazing~ but on some level exciting because I was joining the fraternity of motherhood and this was my "hazing".
Now with number two, it's like I have to remind myself I am pregnant. It's like the luster of it all is gone. I have to really think about it when I feel the kicks, to be pumped about it. It's so easy to just get caught up chasing around my toddler and BOOM the day is gone without me even thinking about it. Although some days it is in the forefront of my mind. Like now that the bathroom breaks have become more regular, or eating boat loads of fiber and water to FEEL more regular (I'm not sure if my digestive system will ever recover fully!). I know that this is normal~for it to become "old hat" so to speak~ but part of me does feel a little guilty for not cherishing it enough. So I have to remind myself what a wonderful thing is happening in my body and that it is a miracle. Then part of me wonders if I am already feeling this way for No. 2, then will anything EVER be exciting for the subsequent babies, or will pregnancy just be something that I have to "endure".
It's nice in the respect that the time has been flying by more quickly, with Olivia I felt like it was C-R-A-W-L-I-N-G by. Has anyone ever felt like this too? Maybe with a little more of a space in between it would become more MAGICAL again?
What do YOU think??

Family Photo Shoot
Our friend Meredith took some family pictures for us this weekend. We haven't had any family photo's taken since we have been married, so we were really excited for it. Olivia decided to be "miss independent" and as such I'm sure she wasn't the easiest subject to work with ;) She just let me know that a sneak peak is ready on her website. You can look at them HERE. I love what I've seen so far and I can't wait to see the rest!
(I especially love the two of Olivia and Marcus!)

I'm SO EXCITED!!!!

Lately Marcus has been reminiscing about his years in Walla Walla, including how much fun the Balloon Stampede is. We found out that his parents, sister & her husband and baby were going this year. Needless to say we were jealous (some more so than others, especially those of whom who have attended this event in the past). Marcus' parents invited us to go with them, and we will be staying at his Aunt Sheila's house in Tri-Cities.
WE ARE SO EXCITED!!
It will be a totally fun weekend with a ton of hot air balloons. The event is free to all who want to attend and we don't have to pay for a hotel because we are staying with family. So it will be very inexpensive for us and our tight budget and a wonderful weekend getaway! This Balloon Stampede is one of Marcus' favorite memories from when he was a kid, so it will be fun to be able to experience it with him.
The picture above was taken at the Walla Walla Balloon Stampede
PS- I totally love my husband! He super cleaned and organized our bedroom for me while I was at work~ such a wonderful surprise!!
